John,
Last month, we asked you to tell us what issues matter most to you and your family here in Connecticut.
Thank you to every single one of you who took the time to share your thoughts. Here’s what stood out most clearly in your responses:
* Health care - Many of you shared concerns about the cost of care, access to coverage, and the need to protect programs like Medicaid and affordable insurance options.

* Protecting our democracy - You all emphasized voting rights, fair elections, and safeguarding democratic institutions at a moment when those rights feel increasingly under threat

* The cost of living - You all pointed to rising prices, energy costs, and affordability challenges that are making everyday life harder for households across the state.

* Housing and education - from the cost of rent and homeownership to strong public schools and support for students and educators.

* Immigration enforcement - People shared fears about family separation, deportations, and the impact aggressive enforcement has on immigrant and mixed status families, along with a desire for humane policies that keep communities safe and together.
Thank you for taking the time from your day to add your voice.
