School's (almost) back in session, the presidential race is heating up, and there's that Maine crispness in the air. Fall is just about here.

John,

School is (almost) back in session, the presidential race is heating up as we near the third debates, and there is fall crispness in the air. As we approach September, there are big things happening in our race.

We're kicking off the statewide "In Your Corner" Town Hall Tour in Portland and Bangor on September 5th, and we hope you can join us. The "In Your Corner" Town Hall Tour will be a series of town hall events held throughout the state. Betsy will be talking to Mainers, while our opponent holds swanky, ticketed fundraisers at million-dollar vacation across the country.

Unfortunately, we're still behind our fundraising goal for August. In order to make sure the tour starts without a hitch, we need more contributions. We don't have a Rolodex of wealthy, well-connected friends. Our campaign is the true people-powered campaign. Betsy isn't behind closed doors, schmoozing elite donors; she's on the ground talking with Maine people about their concerns because that's who she will represent when she's in the Senate. We're talking to all Mainers, and offering them real solutions — solutions like Medicare for All, the Green New Deal, and a $15 minimum wage.

Hitting this fundraising goal is just the first step of our plan to put power in the hands of Mainers, where it belongs — not in the hands of rich and powerful out-of-state special interests.

Our average donation is a little over $30. John, can you step up with a $30 to become an "In Your Corner" Donor? Remember, we're not taking money from corporate PACs, or federal lobbyists. This is a 100% people-powered campaign.

We are so excited to start the In Your Corner Town Hall Tour — and if you don't live near Bangor or Portland, we'll be coming to a town near you. We're planning to hit all 16 counties at least a couple of times.

None of this would be possible without you. We are eternally grateful for your support of this campaign.

In solidarity,

Team Sweet
