Jack,

For most of our lives, politics has been something that happens to us. A
candidate runs for office, makes a bunch of promises, maybe wins, and
nothing changes. Or, things get worse. And we're told to wait until the
next election and try again.

That’s the version of “democracy” the elites in power prefer: regular
people as spectators — not actual participants or decision makers.

But real democracy is something we actively do. It's something we build
together.

That’s why I’m so proud to share that last week, Team Hong officially
kicked off our volunteer field operation. We’re mobilizing nearly 2,000
volunteers (and counting) in every corner of Wisconsin.

Right now, teams are organizing into regional committees. That means no
matter where you live, there’s a way to plug in and help us reach voters
and win this election.
