Here’s an update from our campaign:

** Fraud Uncovered in Wisconsin
------------------------------------------------------------

This week, a Wisconsin convenience store owner pled guilty to a reported $1.6 million ([link removed]) SNAP fraud scheme.

The scheme involved the store owner exchanging SNAP benefits, government food aid, for cash at a reduced rate. The store owner then spent the funds on credit card bills, luxury items, and vacations. He is also accused of tax fraud and allegedly owes more than $87,000 ([link removed]) in taxes.

Fraud like this in Wisconsin, as in Minnesota ([link removed]) and elsewhere, takes money away from truly needy families and taxpayers who follow the rules and pay their fair share. That is why the reforms we passed into law last year are so important:

* Strengthening Medicaid eligibility and requiring states verify eligibility at least twice a year
* Holding states accountable ([link removed]) for erroneous payments for government programs like SNAP
+ States make $13 billion a year in erroneous SNAP payments
* Implementing work requirements ([link removed]) for able-bodied, childless adults of 80 hours a month to receive government benefits

While Republicans are working to remove waste, fraud, and abuse, some on the Left are unwilling to take action. This includes Governor Evers, who refused ([link removed]) to share state SNAP data with the federal government. This information could help detect the type of fraud we saw uncovered last week in Wisconsin.

** Securing Our Elections
------------------------------------------------------------

Only U.S. citizens should vote in U.S. elections. This week, I led the effort in the House to pass the SAVE America Act ([link removed]) to secure our elections.
[link removed]

The SAVE America Act is a simple but secure way to strengthen election integrity. The bill requires photo ID to vote nationwide and ensures that states verify citizenship when someone registers to vote.

These reforms are common sense, which is why so many Americans support them. We know that when voters have confidence in their elections, it can improve participation.

All but one Democrat voted against this bill on the floor of the House. The SAVE America Act now heads to the Senate for passage.

I recently dispelled Left-wing disinformation on election integrity legislation on national news. Listen in above or at the link here. ([link removed])

** Building Grassroots Support
------------------------------------------------------------

Our County Republican Parties are key to building grassroots support, winning WI-01, and ensuring Republicans win Wisconsin this year. It’s important to get involved with your county GOP.

This week, there are several major GOP events you can attend and get involved.

Rock County Republican Party Caucus ([link removed]) - Thursday, February 19

Kenosha County Republican Party Caucus ([link removed]) - Saturday, February 20

Racine County Lincoln Day Dinner ([link removed]) - Saturday, February 20
