Hi Friend,

If you are tuned in, I hope that you are enjoying the first digital
broadcast of the GLAAD Media Awards.  We're excited to say
that the broadcast is being viewed by over half a million people
across multiple platforms.

However, visibility alone will not get us to 100% LGBTQ
acceptance.  We need your financial support as
well. 

Since we were last able to gather in person your support has allowed:

* GLAAD to continue its advocacy work to combat violence, racism,
and discrimination and most importantly taking on the Trump
Administration and anti-LGBTQ voices
* to launch our Communities of Color program, which includes NEON,
an ongoing digital content series that aims to increase
visibility of black LGBTQ people
* the GLAAD Media institute to surpass the 20,000th person
trained
* in partnership with Teen Vogue, presented GLAAD's 20 Under
20: Young LGBTQ People Shaping The Future of Media and Activism
* continue to engage LGBTQ voters in the 2020 election -
currently one in five of us are not registered to vote and most
recently launched our 100 days to Election Day campaign
... and so much more!

Despite the impressive strides we've made, including the recent
supreme court victory securing full protections for LGBTQ people in
the workplace, we still have so much further to go.  And even
more importantly, we need to protect the gains we've made.
