PFLAG Action Alert

Dear John:

Today, the Senate failed to pass the HEROES Act—or to take any action that would help save lives, homes, and the economy during this global pandemic.

Instead, Senators are going home, and will collect their monthly paycheck. Tomorrow, more than 54 million Americans will receive their last pandemic unemployment check, and millions who cannot pay rent because of the pandemic could face eviction.

We need your help to call your Senators and urge them to pass the HEROES Act

Call your two U.S. Senators--remember to use your name and address so they know you’re a constituent--and consider using this suggested script:

As your constituent and a member of PFLAG, I urge you to pass the HEROES Act. It’s time to show me and all of your constituents that you care about us and that you will vote to do the right thing. There are more than 54 million people who are unemployed through no fault of their own. Let them receive again the expired pandemic unemployment check and needed protection from eviction.

Tonight, Sen. Schumer and Speaker Pelosi are again meeting with Treasury Sec. Mnuchin and White House Chief of Staff Meadows to find a path forward and help bring Americans much needed relief.

This is an all-hands-on-deck moment: Make your call NOW!
