When I joined the U.S. Navy, I took an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

Matt Gaetz took the same pledge when he was sworn into Congress. 

It is now time for him to uphold it -- or resign. 

President Trump just launched an assault on our democracy by tweeting that he wants to delay the November election -- a power that the president does not have.

The time has come for Gaetz to put his duty to our country over his loyalty to his party first. 

If Gaetz fails to denounce Trump’s call for an election delay, it will further prove that he is unfit to serve in Congress. 

This isn’t about Democrats. 

This isn’t about Republicans. 

This isn’t about political differences.

Those fights are for another day. This is about defending democracy. Add your name to the petition and call on Matt Gaetz to either denounce Donald Trump’s attack on our elections or resign immediately.
