Today is National Wisconsin Day!

But for me, that’s every day.

I was born and raised here, and Wisconsin has given me the community and opportunities that made me who I am today. It’s where someone from a middle-class Milwaukee background like me could become the first Black lieutenant governor of Wisconsin.

That’s why I’ve devoted my entire career to bettering Wisconsin, from my start as an organizer in Milwaukee to my work expanding opportunities for working families as Lieutenant Governor.

And now, I’m running for governor because I believe Wisconsin deserves the best: the best healthcare, the best wages, and the best quality of life.

And I won’t settle for anything less.
