Friend --
Rather than working to address the global pandemic and economic insecurity that our nation is facing, President Trump took to Twitter to spread misinformation and attempt to undermine voting by mail and our election system. Again.
We can't let Trump's misinformation go unchallenged. In Washington state, we know firsthand how safe and effective voting by mail is. And despite his many public comments and tweets against voting by mail, President Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, First Lady Melania Trump, Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner, White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, and Attorney General Bill Barr all voted by mail.
If the president, his family, and his staff can vote easily and safely from the comfort of their home, why shouldn't the rest of us? I am proud that in Washington state's all-mail primary happening now, no one has to stand in line for hours or risk their health to vote. Now, I'm fighting to make sure all Americans have that right.
Americans deserve to vote easily and safely, no matter the circumstances -- and vote-by-mail does just that. Add your name to tell President Trump to put people over politics and support nationwide vote-by-mail today.
If it's good enough for the Trump White House, it should be good enough for every American.
Thank you,
Maria Cantwell
