ABOUT THE PROGRAM
California is forging a path through the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting economic upheaval. These dual crises are exacerbating disparities in the state and adding urgency to a long-overdue reckoning with racial justice. California Senate President pro Tempore Toni Atkins will join PPIC’s Mark Baldassare for a wide-ranging conversation about challenges facing the state and the role of leadership in difficult times.
As part of our Speaker Series on California’s Future, PPIC is inviting elected leaders across the political spectrum to participate in public conversations. The purpose is to give Californians a better understanding of how our leaders are addressing the challenges facing our state.
