Friends: The most critical election of our lifetime is fewer than 100 days away – but we're only 73% of the way to our Democratic Majority Defenders goal. I hope you'll give me a minute to explain why this goal is so important. 

Throughout the last several months, my greatest priority has been to protect the health, safety and well-being of the American people. 

But President Trump and the GOP? They couldn't care less about what the health experts are saying. While House Democrats and I fight hard during this pandemic for equal health care access, paid sick leave and expanded unemployment insurance, the president has failed to lead. At a time when our country is crying out for real leadership and compassion, he's resorted to tweeting misinformation.

We cannot allow this dangerous administration to continue, especially unchecked – but President Trump and the Republican Party will do anything to defeat Democrats like me, win in Florida and retake the House. The RNC is even targeting me personally, friends. If we don't hit this goal before the month is up, we could hinder our shot at keeping the House blue. 

That’s why I’m so excited a group of passionate Florida donors is MATCHING EVERY DOLLAR so that we can reach our goal of 2,500 Democratic Majority Defenders to protect our only firewall against the Trump agenda. 

Safeguarding health care. Enacting gun safety reforms. Protecting our democracy. It all comes down to this election in just 95 days.
