One of the most common questions I get is "What's the worst part of being a congresswoman?"
Here's my honest answer: what I'm doing right now.
In a perfect world, I would never have to ask you to chip in to our campaign. I could spend all of my time talking with constituents and working on legislation without having to think about fundraising.
But thanks to the Citizens United decision -- and national Republican groups willing to exploit it -- we're fighting against a massive dark money machine. They've already spent $1 million on attack ads against me -- and they're just getting started.
Meanwhile, when we need to raise $6,582 before our end of month goal, we turn to grassroots supporters like you. If I have to play moneyball, you better believe I'm going to remain committed to real people, not shady special interests.
Will you chip in to help us meet this critical goal? With your support, I can focus on the best part of my job -- fighting for you.
