The Trump administration is removing the last safeguards that would prevent a toxic sulfide-ore copper mine on the doorstep of the Boundary Waters.
Yesterday several of our partner organizations filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration that challenges the evisceration of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Learn more: [link removed]

These partners - EarthJustice and The Wilderness Society - are defending one of the nation’s most important environmental protection laws. The changes that the Trump administration made will mean polluted water, degraded natural landscapes, and air that’s not fit to breath.

We are concerned that the weakened NEPA regulations would be applied to the environmental review of a proposed Twin Metals mine. We need to stop this dangerous mine. Tell your Senators to stand up for the Boundary Waters [[link removed]] by supporting a Senate companion bill to Representative McCollum’s bill “The Boundary Waters Protection and Pollution Prevention Act” (H.R. 5598). This bill would permanently protect the Wilderness and Voyageurs National Park from the inevitable harm of sulfide-ore copper mining on adjacent public lands

Sulfide-ore mining boosters are changing the rules and eviscerating laws that protect the environment and communities from risky projects like this. Take action today: [link removed]
