In response to Twitter’s failure to address antisemitism across its platform, including several antisemitic posts by the musician Wiley, ADL joined a 48-hour walkout of Twitter in solidarity with the UK Jewish community who are calling on social media companies to do more to combat hate on their platforms.
ADL welcomed the Netherlands' government investigation and suspension of Dutch contributions to a Palestinian group accused of funding terrorism.
ADL marked the 9-year anniversary of the murder of 77 people in Norway by a neo-Nazi, and highlighted the Hate Beyond Borders report which shows how the murderer’s manifesto of hate inspired other white supremacist mass murderers around the globe.
Latin America
Consultations were held with Jewish communities in Peru (with ADL’s SVP for International Affairs Sharon Nazarian and Director of Latin American Affairs Liat Altman) and El Salvador (Liat Altman) to hear about current challenges to and activities of their communities, including those related to antisemitism, and to offer ADL support and cooperation.
ADL marked the 26th anniversary of the Alas Chiricanas terrorist attack in Panama by Hezbollah which killed 20 people, and called for those responsible to be brought to justice.
