It’s no secret that our most fundamental principles are under attack. But this morning, the President made his disdain for our democracy even clearer, by declaring our upcoming elections rigged and suggesting that the vote be delayed. To be clear, he does not have that power, and we should all be making sure right now that we’re registered and able to vote by mail or in person in time for November 3rd.
Defending our democracy has to go even further than making sure we exercise our right to vote, though. We have to come together and unite around core American values that he’s working so hard to tear down. We must, as one people, put forth a set of principles which define who we are, who we can be, and what we demand from our government.

The problems with our politics will not be cured, even by evicting the chief offender from the Oval Office. The damage being done today needs to be repaired, and we are the ones who will have to do that work. That’s why we want you at the convention.
