Hi there,

August is, not surprisingly, a notoriously difficult month for fundraising. Despite that, I asked our team to set an ambitious goal this month: reach 1,000 contributions by the end of August.

Our team sets ambitious goals because we know the stakes are high. An anti-gun safety challenger recently jumped into our race for attorney general, and we know that the Republican Attorneys General PAC -- founded by Karl Rove -- is bent on spending millions of dollars to take out Democratic incumbent attorneys general. For example, in 2017 this group spent $7 million against an incumbent Democratic attorney general in Virginia. Not surprisingly, this is all dark money and special interest groups.

But this election is too important to be determined by dark money groups. So we're fighting back with the combined grassroots strength of Washingtonians in all 39 counties across the state. But if we're going to keep special interests from buying the Washington AG's office, we need your support right now.

As of today, we've received 762 donations -- and we only have until Saturday night to make up the remaining 238 we need to meet our goal. I don't accept corporate money. That's why I need you to fight back against the millions that Karl Rove's PAC will inevitably spend against me in 2020.

Can I count on you to give $25, $50, $100 or more to help us fight back before Saturday? Here's the link to contribute: [link removed]

Thank you for your support,
Bob
