Hi John,

As Jared’s campaign manager, I’m constantly evaluating the state of our race and looking at what we need to do to win here in the Second District.

Needless to say, the ongoing public health crisis has upended conventional campaigning -- but that doesn’t mean that our fight to re-elect Jared will be any less challenging.

So ahead of the deadline for our July fundraising goal tomorrow, I thought I’d take a moment to walk you all through my thinking at this stage of the campaign.

But in case you don’t have the time to read this whole message, I hope you’ll consider chipping in a few dollars today. The deadline for our $14,000 monthly fundraising goal is just a day away, and I’d be so grateful for any help you could afford to give.

Taking a look at the state of our race, here’s what I’m tracking:

First, digital outreach and organizing have never been more important.

Given the COVID-19 pandemic, our team is committed to safely turning out the vote here in ME-02. But we also need to make sure that we’re reaching all of the voters that we need to if we want to have a fighting chance at re-electing Jared this November.

Can you help us expand our digital organizing operation by chipping in today? Given the current situation, it’s one of the best ways to safely fire up Jared’s supporters and expand voter contact in this highly competitive district.

Additionally, advertising is one of the most effective ways to spread our message all across this district -- one of the largest in the nation!

But it doesn’t come cheap, John. Across all types of platforms -- radio, television, digital -- advertising is notoriously expensive, especially this close to the election. But with that comes one of the best ways to spread our message far and wide, so we need to make sure we’re investing here.

A donation today would help us to grow our advertising capabilities, ensuring Jared’s record of political independence and bold leadership makes it to voters all across this district -- so can you help us out today?

Finally, a robust campaign team is crucial to making sure we’re staying on track to win this race in November.

From fundraising, to communications, to organizing -- and everywhere in between -- we’ll need to make sure that our team is prepared for the intense final months leading into Election Day. That means growing our staff and bolstering our team all across this district.

But that won’t be possible without considerable resources, which is why I’m coming to you today. Can you help us out by contributing to this grassroots team?

So John, from where I’m sitting, that’s what it’s going to take to win this race in November.

You may have noticed one common thread -- we’re relying on this grassroots team to help us out on all of those fronts.

I know it’s asking a lot of you, so thank you for your support and, if you can afford it, your contribution today. Everyone here on Team Golden is so grateful.

With gratitude,

Margaret Reynolds
