Nevada’s 3rd Congressional District holds a special place in my heart for two reasons. One: my mom lives in this district. Two: Susie and I share a passion for making opportunity accessible to everyone.

Getting a quality education changed my life. It put me on the path to becoming the mayor of Newark and the fourth-ever popularly elected African American to the Senate.
Susie and I firmly believe that every American child should have the same opportunities to succeed that we did.
Throughout her career and in Congress, Susie Lee has always risen to the challenge of fighting for equity and justice in our education system.
She worked with members of both parties to pass legislation to help students defrauded by for-profit colleges and stood up for expanding access to Pell grants for those who were formerly incarcerated.
