Accuracy in Media has released a new undercover investigation at The Ohio State University.


In the video below, Melissa Newhouse, Executive Administrative Assistant for the Office of the Dean, admits that DEI programming continues on campus despite Ohio’s law intended to curb it. She explains that while names and signage may have changed, the underlying programs have not. She also cites private funding, including Apple-funded grants, as a way the initiatives continue.


On camera, Newhouse states, “Because of the law, we had to change signs and centers … We’re very diverse and [the administrators] are extremely passionate about that, and we are doing what we can. They’re still doing things.”

When confronted by Accuracy in Media President Adam Guillette and shown her recorded remarks, she denied making those statements. We also confronted Erik Porfeli, Interim Dean, who declined to comment.


Accuracy in Media has repeatedly documented Ohio education officials privately acknowledging efforts to work around legislative reforms while publicly presenting a different narrative. Now that same pattern appears inside one of the state’s largest public universities.
