in Defunding UN Abortion Advocacy

Dear Colleague,

Last year the Trump administration invoked something called the Siljander Amendment in order to defund a program of the Organization of American States. The Siljander Amendment forbids U.S. funding of any program that lobbies for or against abortion. Given that many high-level programs at the UN lobby foreign governments in favor of abortion, each of these programs are ripe for defunding by the U.S. government. Rebecca Oas, Ph.D. reports [[link removed]].

There is an ongoing fight in the U.S. Congress about the implementation of something called Women, Peace, and Security. The Democrats insist abortion must be a part of the implementation of this act. The Trump administration opposes such a move. This debate came to the fore at a Congressional hearing last week. Lisa Correnti reports [[link removed]].

Spread the word. Be daring. Keep the faith.

Yours sincerely,

Austin Ruse

President
