Happy Thursday, Fellow Democrats!

We are now 96 days away from electing a new President of the United States!

** DEMOCRATIC HEADQUARTERS VISITORS
------------------------------------------------------------

**
As COVID cases are still on the rise in Indian River County, our office remains closed for inside visits and meetings. Operations Coordinator Stacey Klim is at the office on Wednesdays and Fridays 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. for visitors to pick up Democratic gear (yard signs, bumper stickers, etc.) and to conduct other essential services. Democrats coming to the office should knock on the door, social distance, wear a facemask, and provide their own hand sanitizer. Thank you as we continue to look after the safety of our fellow Democrats.

** WRITE YOUR CONGRESSMEN!
------------------------------------------------------------

**
This morning, a dangerous tweet by Donald Trump floated the idea of delaying the November election.

------------------------------------------------------------

**
------------------------------------------------------------

**

He has no authority to delay it. It is solely the purview of the Congress. Please take the time now or sometime today to write to our Congresspeople and Senators that Congress needs to tell Trump to stop this crazy talk!

** WHAT ARE WE WORKING ON?
------------------------------------------------------------

**
This week we met with an election data expert from Palm Beach County to assess our phone banking progress and next steps. We have made approximately 13,650 calls to New, Warm and Hot Democrats! And we have more to go!

We are currently working on a plan to reach out to our young voters and encourage them to vote. Data shows that young people in our country don’t vote at all or minimally. We will need every vote, from every Democrat, in our county this November 3^rd. Reaching these voters during a pandemic is challenging, but we are up for the challenge!

Friday, we will be meeting virtually with the Florida Biden Campaign to discuss their goals and how our work has laid the foundation for their future work.

Our Data Team is in need of help! We need some dedicated data gurus to help with the work we will be doing over the summer months. If you are interested, please contact Jim St. Martin at [email protected] (mailto:[email protected])

** MASK WEARING FACEBOOK GROUP
------------------------------------------------------------

**
A new Facebook group is gathering data on local businesses who are requiring staff and patrons to wear masks. This group is to highlight the responsible businesses in Indian River County that follow the CDC's recommendations for COVID-19 [link removed]

Businesses should recognize that there are many vulnerable people at risk for severe COVID symptoms and they should do all they can to minimize that risk. As patrons, the group is looking for merchants who value the health and safety of their customers and their families.

This is not to shame businesses but to provide information to people who would rather spend money at places where public health is a priority. If you are interested in joining the group, go to: [link removed]
