Trump honestly believes higher turnout means “you’d never have a Republican elected in this country again.” It’s outrageous, but he doesn't get to decide when the election is.
He has no legal authority to do so. Period. That authority lies with Congress. Even suggesting he holds some sort of ultimate power reveals a startling ignorance of the U.S. Constitution and it’s an insult to the rule of law.
We know the lengths Trump and Republicans will go to disenfranchise millions of voters, especially communities of color, ahead of November’s election. They’re doing everything they can to prevent universal vote-by-mail even during a public health crisis.
We can’t allow Trump and the GOP to get away with their dangerous agenda any longer. This election will be a turning point in our nation’s history. We have the opportunity to finally get Donald Trump and his blatant ignorance out of office — but I need your help to do so.
