6 Ways to Remove Carbon Pollution from the Atmosphere ( [link removed] )
*****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
Research shows that just cutting greenhouse gas emissions won’t be enough to limit dangerous climate change. To avoid the worst impacts and eventually bring warming back down to safer levels, we’ll also need to remove substantial amounts of carbon dioxide already in the atmosphere.
There’s a growing suite of approaches that can do this — from the simple and obvious, like planting trees, to the technologically complex, like building machines that suck CO2 directly from the air.

The 1.5 Degree C Temperature Target, Explained ( [link removed] ) ( [link removed] )
*************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
Global warming above 1.5 degrees C is expected to bring rapidly escalating climate catastrophes. We’re not just close to this threshold — recent data ( [link removed] ) shows that average temperatures over the last three years nudged past it. But the question of whether the world has missed its warming goal, and what happens if we do, is more complicated.

Dry, overgrown forests can fuel wildfires that burn through communities. We’ve seen the devastating results in places like California and Hawaii. Utah is taking a unique approach to suppress its fire risk.

************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
Countries around the world are grappling with how to make energy cheaper, more reliable and cleaner — all at the same time. It’s a tricky juggling act. An emerging tactic known as “Integrated Resource Planning” can help.
