Hi friend --

The CDC has released new guidance on the importance of schools reopening in the fall -- but it looks like the documents were edited by the White House.

According to the Washington Post, the recent CDC guidelines -- which tout the “relatively low risks to school-aged children,” tend to “gloss over risks” that health officials are still concerned about.

For example, CDC Director Robert Redfield points to “hot spots” in at least 33 states -- areas where it may be unsafe for children and teachers to return to the classroom.

All that information is missing from the White House’s version of the guidelines, which insist that “children are unlikely to be major drivers of the spread of the virus” -- despite the fact that scientists are insisting there isn’t enough data to know that yet. But the Trump team is insisting on full speed ahead -- and we’re reaching out to engaged voters to see where they stand. Tell us:

Do you think schools should reopen in the fall?

YES    NO
