Under Noem's direction, ICE has been given free rein to act as if they are above the law. These agents are acting as a masked, secret police force terrorizing our streets and cities.
This isn't public safety. This is Noem running a reckless, unaccountable operation. And frankly, it could have a real impact on the midterms.
Trump and his cronies are already waging a full assault on our elections. Tulsi Gabbard personally oversaw an FBI raid seizing ballots and voter rolls in Fulton County, Georgia. Donald Trump called on Republicans to "nationalize" elections.
And then, Steve Bannon said he wants ICE agents to "surround the polls come November."
I will not stand idly by as Donald Trump and Kristi Noem plan for their roving ICE patrols to be used to intimidate voters at polling stations across the country, including right here in Virginia.
