Dear John,
“Glisten” is what we called ourselves out loud for decades. However, unlike an acronym, which is limited to what its individual letters represent, the name Glisten can act as a beacon for all LGBTQ+ youth and embodies the essence of the work we do. It stands for what we represent. Glisten provides a shining, visible lifeline in schools, creating spaces where everyone can feel safe for being visibly who they are." |
This change to the logo and name does not alter our mission or our need for your support. Please consider spending some time on our new website, and be sure to look at the DONATION section at glisten.org.
Would you consider becoming a monthly donor? Monthly donors help us stay financially strong and plan responsibly. It is easy to set up and allows you to maximize your support for Glisten. You can use this link. I hope you are as excited about our new look and name as we all are. It is a moment for Glisten to press forward with our mission with your help as never before. LGBTQ+ youth need the strong support of educators and allies more than ever.
Thank you for being an instrumental part of all we do. |
In Solidarity,
Melanie Willingham-Jagggers Pronouns: she/her, they/them Chief Executive Officer |
