I’m sorry to reach out to ask for your financial support again, John, but I hope you take it as a sign of how important tonight’s FEC deadline is.

The reality is I hate asking for money. If I could run this campaign without sending a single fundraising email or text or without making a single fundraising call, I would.

But politicians in Washington and the Supreme Court have made it so that billionaires and corporations can funnel unlimited sums of money into these Senate campaigns. The whole thing is broken and corrupt.

If we unilaterally disarm against it, we might as well be bringing a knife to a gun fight. I refuse to do that. I got into this race because I believe people like you deserve a real fighter in Washington.

So we’ll raise the resources. But we’ll do it the right way — without compromising our values or selling out to the corrupt special interests that profit off the broken status quo. That means raising money one small donation at a time from people like you — not a dime from corporate PACs. And I won’t waste my time begging billionaires who want tax cuts and special favors.

My vote and my values will never be for sale. What’s best for working people in Texas will always come first.
