Since we kicked off our Sponsor a Tank campaign a few days ago, it’s been a huge hit! Every contribution we receive allows us to reach so many people in this district, which is crucial to a grassroots campaign like ours.
Transparency is also crucial to our campaign - it’s important to remind people how their contributions are spent. As I mentioned before, we try to find efficient and more environmentally friendly ways to reach all the areas of AZ-01. There is just no getting around the need to meet people in person, and we can’t expect them to come to me.
In case you missed it, here’s a quick review of our Sponsor a Tank campaign:
An average tank of gas costs the campaign about $50 and allows me to drive almost 400 miles to visit with the people of this district. You can see how many miles the team and I wrack up as we travel to get the word out, and how many tanks of gas that is!
So, we’ve come up with a plan that we hope you will support called Sponsor a Tank. Here’s where your contribution can take me:
$10 to Tuba City
$20 to Kayenta or Pinetop-Lakeside
$25 to Casa Grande, San Carlos or Window Rock
$37 to Clifton
And $50 would cover a round trip from Flagstaff to most of the locations listed above. This is a simple but effective way to help me reach people.
