When all of this is said and done — ICE recedes from American cities, the Justice Department is out of the grasp of an autocrat, and Trump has left the White House — there will be much work to be done.
Obviously, we will need to reimagine our system of governance from the bottom up, top down. But the first thing we’ll need to do is hold the ones who brought us to this place accountable. All of them. Every federal agent who broke car windows on the streets of Minneapolis. Every lawyer who gladly took illegal orders and put them into action on behalf of Pam Bondi. And everyone with something to hide inside the Epstein files.
