If you’re wondering how scared Trump’s megadonors are of the midterms, here’s your answer:
They’ve launched a $100 million dark money super PAC, and they’re aiming it straight at NY-12.
They’ve been unusually honest about why — they already publicly announced that defeating me is their top priority in 2026.
That’s not because of some special polling intel, and it’s not because of the political party I belong to. It’s because I wrote and passed the strongest AI safety law in the country here in New York, and they know I’m going to do the same thing in Congress.
These guys want AI to remain totally unregulated. No guardrails, no accountability. A system where they rake in massive profits while the rest of us absorb the risks to our jobs, our kids, and even our democracy.
And let me be clear — I’m not opposed to technology. I’m a computer scientist! I spent a decade in the tech world, writing code and building systems. The potential innovations of tech generally and AI specifically are immense, and I’m optimistic about how they can affect our lives.
But I also understand the dangers of leaving this massively powerful technology completely unchecked, in the hands of a few huge corporations. And that’s exactly why they’re trying to drown this campaign in dark money.
Their nightmare scenario is simple: someone who actually understands AI helping write the rules in Congress.
So let’s give them exactly that.
Before we hit the middle of February — exactly halfway to our next FEC filing deadline — I’m asking you to help my campaign build up our resources. We’re going to need them to fight back against the attack ads and outside spending that are already ramping up.
Every contribution matters, and no amount is too small.

And if contributing isn’t possible right now, you can still make a real impact — talk to people you know about this race, share my posts on Instagram [[link removed]] , Bluesky [[link removed]] , TikTok [[link removed]] , or X [[link removed]] , and forward this email to someone who cares about the future of technology and democracy.
They wouldn’t be spending this kind of money if this campaign didn’t matter.
Thanks for standing with me.
