John, it’s Gabby Giffords. I represented Arizona’s 8th Congressional District in Congress, until I was shot at a constituent event in my hometown. Now, I’ve dedicated my life to ending gun violence.

I’m working around the clock to elect leaders who will be gun safety champions. Leaders like JoAnna Mendoza, a retired U.S. Marine Corps Drill Instructor and the Democrat running here in AZ-06, who I know will move Arizona and our country forward.

In her service overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan, JoAnna became an expert in marksmanship and trained to use various types of firearms, from a pistol to M16.

And while she believes in the right to responsible gun ownership, she knows there’s so much more that we can and need to do to keep our communities safe. No one should have to live with the consequences of gun violence, and we must support leaders who will make a safer country a reality.

Now more than ever, children and families across the 6th District need a leader in office like Jo, who will take Arizona’s values like honesty, integrity and accountability to Washington D.C.

But this race won’t be easy. It will take every last vote to overcome the special interests working to defeat Jo. So that’s why I’m personally asking:

John, will you rush $25 or more to help JoAnna flip AZ-06 blue and deliver a safer future for all of us?
