John,
This weekend, we all watched Bad Bunny take on the biggest stage in the country and do it en Español.
That mattered.
Last year, I had the honor of singing the halftime show at a Houston Texans playoff game. I’ll be honest. I was nervous. I was getting ready to sing in Spanish, and I didn’t know how the crowd would react.

I expected some boos, but instead I received respect. The crowd embraced our culture, our language, and who we are.
Seeing Bad Bunny doing that this weekend, proudly and unapologetically, reminded me why moments like that matter so much for our community.
We are people with dignity, and we deserve to be seen and respected, not just tolerated.
It’s at the heart of why I’m running for Congress. El Valle and the rest of South Texas are rich in culture, family, faith, and hard work. But our voices have long been ignored by leaders who show up for party talking points instead of the people they represent.
It’s time for that to change. I’m more committed than ever to fighting for a South Texas where everyone belongs, and where our values are represented loudly and proudly. If you believe in leadership rooted in dignity and respect, can I count on you to support my campaign for Congress?
