Breaking News
During his campaign, Donald Trump promised oil and gas CEOs that if they gave him $1 billion, he would clear the path for fossil fuel expansion. He is keeping his word. The White House announced today its plan to repeal the Environmental Protection Agency’s endangerment finding later this week.
This is a rollback of the landmark rule under the Clean Air Act that recognizes the danger of greenhouse gas emissions from power plants, vehicles, and large industrial polluters. Without it, anything goes for Big Oil and Gas. Utilities can use more dirty sources of energy that drive up costs for American families. Deadly air pollution will increase. Water will become more contaminated.
Sierra Club and advocates like you, Supporter, fought for these protections, and we are not letting them go without a fight.
The Sierra Club has been involved in legal fights for federal climate rules and standards longer than any other organization. In 2002, in the very first federal climate case under the Clean Air Act, we sued EPA for its failure to regulate greenhouse gases from vehicles under the statute, which ultimately resulted in victory at the Supreme Court and the endangerment finding being issued in 2009.
Two and a half decades later, we are going back to court to prevent the EPA from erasing those long-standing wins.

Big Win for EV Charging
A federal court just delivered a complete victory in our legal challenge to Trump's unlawful freeze of the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure program. The decision permanently bars the administration from freezing funds, canceling states' buildout plans, or otherwise interfering with this $5 billion program to build reliable, high-speed EV charging along America's highways. All 50 states, plus D.C. and Puerto Rico, now have the certainty they need to move forward with a nationwide charging network.

Help Us Protect the Arctic Refuge
The Trump administration and corporate polluters are once again trying to attack the Arctic. The Bureau of Land Management is moving forward with oil and gas lease sales in the coastal plain, an area that the Gwich'in people refer to as "the sacred place where life begins." Drilling in this area would harm wildlife and destroy this sacred place.
We cannot let this happen – send in a comment opposing this plan before the March 5 deadline!

Make a Lasting Impact on a Sierra Club Service Trip
As our public lands face ongoing sell-off threats and land management agencies are increasingly underfunded, it's more important than ever to show up. Each year, our service trips contribute more than 25,000 volunteer hours to public land agencies, connecting nearly 1,000 volunteers with critical, boots-on-the-ground conservation work.
With 50+ service trips to choose from this year, there’s an opportunity for everyone to give back to the places we love.

We start by taking care of ourselves and drinking from fortifying springs. Natural places heal and restore.

This Backdoor Legislative Tool Could Undo Public Lands
Lawmakers in Congress are using a tool that requires no public input or consensus to dismantle the backbone of public lands management. Recent examples include revoking management plans in Alaska, Montana, and Wyoming. Now it looks like they'll be coming for national monuments next.
Here's a look at how Congress is removing the public from public lands.

Michigan Sues Oil and Gas Companies for Sabotaging Renewable Energy and Electric Vehicles
Michigan is taking the fight against oil majors to a new level with its latest lawsuit. Instead of challenging greenhouse gas emissions, the state is challenging the vast history of disinformation sown by oil companies and their industry representatives to slow the shift to renewable energy and undermine workable climate solutions.
Read more about this landmark lawsuit.
