John, there are a lot of differences between my opponent and me. The biggest is our backgrounds. As a lifelong Rhode Islander, former small business owner, basketball coach, and more, I've always seen the importance of investing in our communities and watching them grow.
That's what profit means to me.
For my opponent, as a former boardroom executive, it has often meant the bottom line. Corporate margins. Shareholder returns. No matter the cost to working families. She watched the opioid crisis run through our communities while she lined her pockets.
She may claim her priorities will be different as Governor, but as a famous coach once said: You are what your record says you are.
And that's why my priorities have always been the same:
- Lowering costs for working families.
- Improving our schools.
- Helping more students get into college.
- Investing in our state’s future so families can thrive here.
This race is about priorities. Whether government works for people or for the bottom line.
If you believe leadership should put Rhode Island families first, will you chip in today?
