John, ballot petition season officially starts next week, and that means we’re in the most time-sensitive stretch of the campaign pre-Election Day.
I’m going to ask for your help, and I hope you’ll consider supporting me and my team as we work to get back on the ballot.
Let me explain:
To appear on the ballot, we have until March 10 to collect and file thousands of valid signatures from voters who want to see me stay in office. We need to get volunteers knocking doors, at transit stops, at community events, and out meeting people on the street in the cold. Real on-the-ground organizing.
The national mood is heavy; I feel it too. But petition season is one of those moments where democracy becomes very real, very local, and very hopeful. Neighbors talking to neighbors, showing up, doing the work together. Honestly, it’s one of my favorite parts of campaign season.
As you can probably guess, this work requires funding, and what we raise right now will tell us how many resources we can dedicate to this before petitions are due. So if you can, we’d love to ask you to chip in right now and help us get it done before the deadline.
Your support helps me and my campaign:
- Print and distribute petition packets
- Get organizers and volunteers out on the ground
- Provide basic support — water, materials, transportation — so no one volunteering their time is stretched too thin.

If you’re able, will you chip in $25 or whatever you can today to help us get our signatures submitted on time and get my name on the ballot? This work matters. And I’m grateful to be in it with you.
With resolve,
Mary Gay
