In just the first weeks of 2026, multiple people have already died either in federal immigration custody or following encounters with immigration agents. It is clear, now more than ever, that we need greater accountability for federal law enforcement agents, trustworthy news and analysis, and a fierce defense of our immigrant neighbors and their families.

While we have a new look and renewed purpose, our Substack will continue to tell the whole story: from the horrific mass deportations and abuses of power, to the overlooked stories of immigrant neighbors and friends who have contributed so much to our communities and this nation.
