Tell your legislators to VOTE NO on SB 1334/HB 991.

SB 1334 and HB 991 are a full-scale voter purge dressed up as “election integrity.”

They both passed their first committee!

This bill would require all voters — new and existing — to have their records re-checked through error-prone government databases. If the system doesn’t have the “right” paperwork on file, voters would be forced to prove their citizenship again, even if they’ve been voting for years.

That means:

•No passport?

•No original birth certificate?

•Changed your name after marriage?

You could lose your right to vote. And replacing documents costs money, something many families simply don’t have. Let’s be clear: Non-citizens already cannot vote. This bill isn’t about security; it’s about exclusion.

This voter purge would hit hardest:

•Seniors

•Students and young people

•Low-income families

•Naturalized citizens

•People without a driver’s license or state ID

•Anyone who’s changed their name

Take action now: Email your Senator  and demand a NO vote on SB 1334 and HB 991.

Our power is our vote, and they’re trying to take it away.

⚠️ REMINDER: The Legislative Session is when elected representatives -from both the State Senate and House- introduce legislation they claim is in the best interest of Florida’s voters, economy, environment, and communities. Prevents economic prosperity in Florida by prohibiting undocumented people from holding professional licenses, bank accounts, or sending remittances back home.

❌HB 1279 Attacks on International Students
Sponsored by Kincart-Johnson

Caps the number of international students that can be accepted and makes it prohibitively expensive for undocumented students to attend Florida colleges and universities.

This week, both SB 748 and SB 132 passed their second committee, an important step forward for voting rights in Florida. These policies help ensure returning citizens receive clear information about their voting eligibility at a critical point in the justice process. By reducing confusion and increasing transparency, the bills strengthen access to democracy and help prevent unnecessary disenfranchisement.

At a time when voting rights are under constant attack, SB 748 and SB 132 move Florida in the right direction. Florida Rising will continue to fight for policies that protect the freedom to vote and ensure every Floridian has a real voice in our democracy.
