Join FRC and mobilize Christians to pray, vote, and stand this November.

Dear John,

On January 17, Abigail Spanberger was sworn in as Virginia's new governor. With her election came 13 additional liberal legislators -- handing the Left full control of the Commonwealth virtually overnight.

Spanberger campaigned as a moderate, promising affordability and restraint. But now, with a governing trifecta in hand, the mask has come off.

Already, radical legislation is moving at a rapid pace -- major tax increases, Green New Deal-style emissions mandates, sweeping gun restrictions, gerrymandering congressional seats, and perhaps most alarming of all, a proposed constitutional amendment to declare abortion a fundamental right in Virginia law. All of it is expected to be signed by the state's new "moderate" governor.

The lesson is unmistakable: elections have consequences and with the 2026 midterm elections just 10 months away, it's time for believers to be prepared to act decisively.

That's why Family Research Council is already at work:

  • Preparing nonpartisan voter education materials to ensure citizens understand where candidates stand on critical issues
  • Educating lawmakers on legislation that impacts families and faith -- protecting life, defending religious liberty, preserving parental rights, and upholding biological reality
  • Equipping believers through our God & Government video series to understand that America was founded upon biblical truth
  • Amplifying truth through The Washington Stand and Washington Watch to counter misinformation

And that's also why FRC has launched our newest initiative: Pray Vote Stand Chapters.

These local, church-centered gatherings unite believers around prayer, biblical engagement, and faithful civic action -- laying the groundwork for renewal one community at a time. This is not about turning churches into partisan political machines. It's about helping Christians apply God's Word to every area of life, including the civic realm -- and that includes voting.

The months ahead will determine the trajectory of our nation for generations to come.

Will we strengthen the foundations of faith and family -- or allow them to erode under the weight of big government and radical ideology?

Isaiah 58:12 gives us both hope and a calling: "You shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to dwell in." Apathy is not a biblical option.

Will you partner with Family Research Council to help us defend faith, family, and freedom -- and to lead decisively in this critical moment for America's future?

P.S. - Virginia is not a one-off. In New York, newly elected mayor Zohran Mamdani openly declared in his inaugural address, "I was elected as a Democratic Socialist, and I will govern as a Democratic Socialist." This is the vision gaining ground across the country. That's why acting now -- before November -- is so critical.
