Folks –
Over the weekend, National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard went on a baseless tirade against me.
Why? Because I refuse to stay silent while she – and too many other leaders in the Trump administration – sow chaos, ignore the law, and make our country less safe.
This is not the first time I’ve come under fire for my work to hold this crew accountable.
Last year, Laura Loomer went on a complete tirade against me and got the Trump administration to CANCEL a routine oversight meeting with national security professionals. Then, Donald Trump had a total meltdown in the Oval Office and attacked my record of delivering for Virginia.
But I won’t back down.
As the top Democrat on the Intelligence Committee, it’s my responsibility to the American people to provide oversight of our national security apparatus – and as Virginia’s senator, it’s my duty to stand up when our President and his administration make us all less safe.
I’m calling on my Republican colleagues to join me in calling for Tulsi Gabbard’s immediate resignation. She should have never been confirmed in the first place, and her attempts to politicize our national intelligence operation are more than disqualifying.
But if Republicans in the Senate don’t have the spine to stand up to this administration, then it’s up to all of us to elect leaders who will.
Please, if you’re able to, join me in the fight to keep Virginia blue, win this critical seat, and flip control of the Senate. I’m counting on your donation to my reelection campaign now more than ever before. [link removed]
The fight continues,
Mark Warner
