Hear me out, John —

North Carolina’s U.S. Senate seat is the key to our whole plan to take down the GOP. This race is always on my mind. And it’s got me worried.

You know what about this race keeps me up at night? It’s not the tightening polls. It’s not the loudmouth pundits. It’s worrying that good people will sit on the sidelines while the GOP tries to buy this seat right out from under us.

Democrats were lucky to get our guy. Roy Cooper’s the candidate who can win, and he’s all in on this fight. Swinging hard. But let me tell you something — he can’t do it by himself.

Roy’s got a MAJOR, make-or-break fundraising deadline tomorrow. His team has to file a PUBLIC financial report with the FEC before the primary in NC. And if we let their numbers slip, the GOP is ready to seize the momentum and run away with this whole thing.

Here’s the deal: Roy’s the guy who looked the Republican legislature in North Carolina dead in the eye and did what was right, even when it wasn’t easy. He fought like hell to get Medicaid Expansion DONE — which has delivered health care to more than 700,000 people. He stood up for voters. For reproductive rights. He delivered for working families when everyone said it was impossible.

He’s the kind of fighter we need in the Senate.

Now, the guy he’s running against? An ex-Big Oil lobbyist who Trump personally selected because he wanted another rubber stamp on the Trump agenda.
