There are some things a parent should never have to explain to their children… but here we are. Last week, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, celebrated the start of Black History Month by sharing a racist and completely appalling video of former President and First Lady Barack and Michelle Obama.

Trump continues to push racist stereotypes, sow division and use dirty tricks to smear his political opponents. Trump is, and has only been, focused on creating division and destruction.

Our country deserves better than an insecure man who posts on social media to bring others down. Our children and the future generations of our country deserve better. I’m sick of it.

The best thing that we can do is show that we won’t stand for the continued racist and frankly heinous attacks on non-white Americans. As Lt. Gov., my job is to protect the Commonwealth against Trump’s tyranny, destruction, chaos, and insecurity. I can’t continue to do this without your support.

I’m not ashamed of my history, and I’m proud of who I am, despite what Trump tries to project on Black Americans. Black history is made every day, and it’s up to us to make Pennsylvania a place where every person has the opportunity to succeed and live the American Dream.

So, will you join me in this fight by chipping in to my reelection campaign now?
