I woke up in the hospital and knew everything would be different from then on. My name is Brian Mast. I served my country in the US Army. While deployed in Afghanistan, I hit an IED. The bomb shredded my body, and I lost both of my legs, Friend.  My legs had to be amputated. It’s not a fate I’d considered as a kid; losing your legs isn’t anyone’s dream. But for me, this was just a setback in my mission to serve my country. Don’t get me wrong; recovery was brutal. I had to learn to walk without prosthetics. I had to relearn to run. And some things never change, I still fall down pretty regularly. But all of this just keeps me going. Every fall, every frustrating morning, every phantom pain, it’s all just motivation. I’m 100% driven by service to our nation. As I recovered from my injuries, I kept training Americans in how to keep our country safe and secure. I even volunteered to support Israel, our nation’s greatest ally. I was on the ground with Israeli troops, helping them defend their homeland.  After my time in Israel, I decided to take my service to our country to another level and ran for office. I knew I had the conservative, veteran experience and grit to lead in DC. I’m so grateful that I was able to win and fight for you and our neighbors in Congress! Today, I’m writing to you to ask for a small favor. My friend, Bryan Steil, is in one of the TOUGHEST races of 2026. He’s a top ally for President Trump and Speaker Johnson in the House.
