The Lincoln Project

Friend,

“Absolutely terrible.”

“One of the worst EVER.”

“Disgusting, especially for young children.”

“A slap in the face to our country.”

Any guesses on what Trump’s talking about here?

We know what you’re thinking. And no, he’s not talking about the most notorious child sex trafficker of all time, Jeffrey Epstein. He’d never say things like this about his BFF.

Trump’s talking about Bad Bunny. Because this is where MAGA wants everybody’s focus.

Why talk about the fact that Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s former pimp, just pleaded the Fifth instead of addressing questions about Trump’s relationship with Epstein when you can make racist remarks about the Superbowl halftime show?

This is just another distraction.

For the record, you typically don't plead the Fifth while under investigation for sex trafficking (when you've been verified as a close personal friend and associate of the world's most notorious sex trafficker) if there isn't something very bad there.

This doesn’t say Trump’s guilty any more than the thousands of pictures, tens of thousands of Trump mentions, dozens of eyewitness accusers, and multiple unnecessary redactions do. But it certainly doesn’t help.

The evidence is mounting, and Trump’s clearly sweating through his under-sized suits. We’re so close to pushing this whole thing over the edge. We just have to make sure this story doesn’t get swept under the rug.

Chip in so we can keep combatting Trump’s distractions and demand the files are released >>
