Hey John,
In the NJ-11 Special Primary election, AIPAC poured $2 million into negative ads against Tom Malinowski for saying he wouldn’t “write a blank check” for Israel. They endorsed Tahesha Way, the former Lieutenant Governor.
The results are too close to call, but the likely winner, Analilia Mejia, pulled a surprise lead in the crowded race. She’s been strongly against dark money and has been loudly against the genocide in Gaza. AIPAC did not win.
In Congress, I won't back down from…
📌 Declaring a comprehensive arms embargo and the ending of all military aid to Israel.
📌 Realizing the self-determination of the Palestinian people and an end to the Israeli occupation.
📌 Ensuring equal protection and Right of Return for Palestinians under international law.
In February, AIPAC spent $400,000 on ads for my opponent and “Wall Street’s favorite Democrat,” Melissa Bean. AIPAC has been trying to buy races all over the country to ensure campaigns like ours that stand up for Palestinian rights don’t win.
They’ve spent millions of dollars to rig elections in their favor, and we must work together for all our rights. NJ-11 showed us it’s possible, but I need your help now.
It’s going to take all of us to reject the dark money, like AIPAC, that has been rotting out politics in this country for decades. But if we stand together, we will win.
In solidarity,
Junaid
