Email from Colorado Draws the Line We’re in hell right now. We can stay here, or we can fight our way back into the light. John, Here’s a valuable lesson that Democrats can learn from Super Bowl LX: The best defense is a good offense. If you’re not a football fan, we’ve got you covered: This year’s Super Bowl had a lopsided scoreline, with the Seattle Seahawks dominating the New England Patriots 29-13. Post-game coverage zeroed in on how the Seahawks “smothered” the Patriots’ offense. The Patriots were unable to mount their own challenge and were forced almost exclusively to defend against an aggressive Seahawks offense. Sound familiar? Take a look at this map that shows the state of play for mid-decade redistricting. Red states are playing tough offense; blue states are stuck on defense: Donald Trump is not a strategist. But he does play aggressive offense. And at halftime, Dems are behind. But just like Al Pacino said in his legendary locker room pep talk in Any Given Sunday, “We’re in hell right now. We can stay here, or we can fight our way back into the light.” Redistricting Colorado has the potential to eliminate up to 4 GOP-held seats. That’s why Colorado Draws the Line is introducing the ballot measure that would make CO bluer and erase 3-4 MAGA seats, including making it impossible for Lauren Boebert to stay in Congress. Ours is a move that Democrats aren’t fully accustomed to: playing smart offense to defeat an aggressive opponent. But we need to do this if we have any chance of winning against MAGA’s “smothering” offense. Countering MAGA’s aggression is not easy and it won’t be cheap. Our ballot measure is going to cost millions to successfully pull off, and we need folks everywhere chipping in $5, $25, $50 or more so we can beat Trump’s attempt to steal the 2026 election: If you've stored your info with ActBlue, we'll process your contribution instantly: Donate $3 Donate $50 Donate $125 Donate $25 Donate $100 Donate Another Amount Or multiply your impact with a monthly contribution to counter MAGA election rigging. Life and politics is a game of inches. We fight for every inch, every margin. And when we add it all up, those inches make the difference between winning and losing.
