I have been thinking about the upcoming votes in Washington.



It still amazes me how quickly promises disappear once politicians get
comfortable in DC. Campaign season is full of talk about cutting waste. Then
the same politicians turn around and vote for trillion-dollar spending packages.



I will not do that.



I may be one of the few in Washington willing to say no to runaway spending,
but I will keep doing it because someone has to draw the line.



Here is what keeps me going. Knowing there are people back home who expect
better from their government and who are willing to stand with me when the
pressure is on.
