From Pilgrims to Hippies, North, South, East, and West, Revival runs deep in
America. And to highlight the kickoff of theRoots of Revival Tour, we start in
the year 1967.



1967 was the high water mark of the hippie movement. The summer of love was
underway, and San Francisco was at the heart of it all.

But amidst the sex, drugs, and rock and roll, God was writing a very different
story, but using the same characters and the same location, but with a very
different ending—the Haight-Ashbury Revival.

This past weekend we kicked off our Roots of Revival Tour at the heart of the
Haight-Ashbury Revival. We held a Jesus March through the streets, followed by
a powerful night of worship.

One of the most amazing things about the Haight-Ashbury revival was the fact
that it sprang upoutside the church! It was simply Jesus meeting people where
they were and radically changing their already radical lives!



The history books won’t mention this powerful move of God, but it’s critical
we remember the Haight-Ashbury Revival.



God, we cry out for another move like the Haight-Ashbury Revival!



This was the first of a year-long criss-cross of America. We'll jump between
states, jump between denominations, and jump between centuries, all to
highlight just howDEEP God's roots run in our nation.
