I launched this campaign for governor because I love Colorado. Because there's no place I'd rather call home.

And since my campaign is fully powered by people like you, who love Colorado just as much as I do, I'm about to ask you to chip in $5 or more to help me win this election and serve as the next governor of our state.

But before I do, friend, I need to let you know something.

There is one thing I love more than Colorado ... and it's being a girl dad.

You see, I have three daughters. Caroline, Halina and Anne are the OG Team Bennet. I'm so thankful that my incredible wife, Susan, made me their dad. It's the greatest privilege of my life.

When I first went to serve Colorado in the Senate, our eldest daughter wasn't even 10. So I'd fly home every weekend, both to take the load off of Susan, who was juggling her own career as an environmental attorney, and to be present for those precious fleeting childhood years. And when I hit the campaign trail for reelection the next year, "Bring Your Kids to Work Day" was every day. We traveled the state as a family, in our big red minivan.

That was the toughest election cycle I've ever faced. I credit their scene-stealing performances in my first statewide ads for why I won the race.

Even as teenagers – when just being seen with your parents is mortifying, let alone on statewide or national TV – they were always down to come along for the ride or take over my campaign social media accounts from time to time.

Now, our little girls aren't so little anymore. Anne's in college, and Caroline and Halina have just begun their adult lives. Susan and I couldn't be prouder of the kind, intelligent and courageous women they've become, and we can't wait to see how they'll change the world.

But as Colorado comes under attack from Donald Trump, and the GOP keeps Congress stuck in gridlock, many of our neighbors worry their kids won't even be able to afford to live and start their own families in our home state. I do too. The thought that my generation may be the first to leave the next with fewer rights, a less habitable planet and worse opportunities than our parents left us often keeps me up at night. It'd be a disgrace.

For as long as I live, though, providing our girls everything they need to thrive will be my No. 1 priority. So I refuse to give up hope.

We just need to act with foresight and courage: to protect the planet; to defend the right to choose; to give all high school graduates the skills to make a living wage, regardless of whether they go to college – and to ensure health care, child care and home ownership are within reach as they reach adulthood.

We don't have to wait on Washington to act. We already have everything we need in-state to make it happen. It's just going to take a leader with the bold vision, know-how and ambition to deliver it. That's why I launched this campaign for governor in the first place.

I'm running to build a better future for my children, for every child in our state and, someday, for their kids, too. But I can't do that without your help to reach our $30,000 mid-month goal over the next six days.

So, friend, I'm humbly asking you to please make an investment in the next generation's future by chipping in $X, or any amount you can spare today, to help me win the 2026 governor's race.

With your support through the months ahead, I'm determined to be a leader that my kids and yours can be proud of.

Thank you for everything,

Michael
