I’m disappointed that the Pats lost last night, but the highlight for me was the closing message of Bad Bunny’s halftime performance:

The only thing more powerful than hate is love.

Trump and the far-right feed on hate. They scapegoat immigrants, people of color, and transgender people. They organize harassment campaigns and try to legislate away people’s rights. They want you to be scared of your fellow Americans so the authoritarians and billionaires can run the show.

But if there’s anything I am more sure of than ever before, it’s that a vast majority of Americans don’t hate their neighbor. In fact, I think Americans are sick and tired of all of the hatred, chaos, and divisiveness.

Just look at how people in Minnesota, Massachusetts, and across the country have come together to defend our communities from ICE’s brutality. Or how people got organized and supported food banks after Trump cut food assistance for millions. Or the successful efforts to bring home Trump’s political prisoners like Rümeysa Öztürk and Kilmar Ábrego García. Or the absolutely massive ICE Out and No Kings protests.

Love is indeed more powerful than hate, and what we are seeing right now is Americans choosing to love their neighbors and stand with them.

We have a historic opportunity to reject the MAGA agenda this November and elect a Congress that is ready to defend our democracy and deliver accountability for the authoritarians currently in power who push fear and hatred.

If you’re with me, and ready to fight on the side of love, justice, compassion, and a safe and affordable life for all Americans, please:

Chip in to my campaign for Senate in Massachusetts today. Every dollar helps us keep pushing this movement forward as we fight back the forces of hatred and deliver on a new vision for America.
