Hi John — it's Valerie!

Today I’m reaching out with a critical campaign update to explain why I’m counting on your support more than ever.

This Wednesday, February 11th, our campaign will face our final pre-primary FEC deadline. This deadline is unique to our race based on North Carolina’s March 3rd primary.

After this deadline, we’re required to publicly report how much we’ve raised and how many individual donors are standing with us. Our goal is to post the strongest numbers possible — and with a wave of outside spending on behalf of my opponent, we really can’t afford to fall short.

But more than anything, I want people to look at our report and see what I see: A strong, grassroots campaign funded by everyday folks who are fueling this fight.

And beyond that, I want to make sure our campaign is in the best possible position to win and deliver the leadership our community deserves.

I’ll be frank with you, John.This deadline is a big deal. We need to go into early voting in the strongest position possible, and that requires resources and grassroots momentum.

That’s why this is the most important ask I’ve made of this team: Please, John, will you donate $10, or whatever feels right to you, before our pre-primary FEC deadline to make sure we show the strength of our movement and show our opponents that we are going to win this race?
